THE FACTS of gum disease
Periodontal disease is a condition
that affects approximately 75% to 85% of the adult population. It frequently
begins when a person is in his/her early twenties. Ignoring the signs will
not make gum disease go away. Instead, it will continue to progress and
will ultimately lead to loosening and/or drifting of your teeth. Ultimately,
tooth loss will follow (Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss
in adultts).
